Witch Hand by Kenton Knepper
Step into the mystical world of Witch Hand, a captivating magic trick that blends suspense, mystery, and a touch of the supernatural. This isn’t just a simple “Guess Which Hand It’s In” routine—it’s an immersive experience where your participant becomes part of the magic.
How It Works
Once the spell is cast, your participant will always know which of your hands holds the silver pentagram. No matter how many test conditions or challenges you throw their way, they’ll guess correctly every time. The best part? They won’t even know how they know—they just do.
The Twist
But the magic doesn’t last forever. Once the spell is broken, the participant’s ability to guess correctly vanishes. They’ll continue to guess, but they’ll miss every time, leaving them baffled and amazed.
Optional Final Surprise
For an extra layer of intrigue, you can add a final surprise moment with a message. This optional twist is the perfect way to leave your audience with a lasting impression.
What You’ll Need
- A silver pentagram or similar item (a copper/silver coin or any small object will work)
- Your hands and a sense of showmanship
Ready to cast a spell of wonder and amazement? Witch Hand is the perfect addition to your magic repertoire.
“Witch Hand” is essentially a “Guess Which Hand It’s In” plot but with a spell being cast on the participant.
As long as the spell is cast, the participant can always correctly guess which of the performer’s hand has a silver pentagram in it.
Test conditions and challenges continue to mount, but while under the spell, the participant always knows. They don’t know how they know either…but they know, somehow.
That is, they always know until the spell is broken – in which case they are no longer able to correctly guess. They will continue to miss and guess incorrectly each time once the spell is broken.
There is a final surprise moment with a message too, if you so wish. You don’t need to do this last bit, but it is a great time to add a final kick.
Props are required but you could use a copper/silver coin or any copper/silver type item for a similar effect.
