Effect

Three cards are selected by three different spectators. Here’s what happens:

• Spectator 1: Remembers their card (e.g., the Four of Clubs), which is then cut back into the deck.
• Spectator 2: Places their card (e.g., the Seven of Diamonds) face-down on the table.
• Spectator 3: Leaves their card (e.g., the King of Clubs) face-up on the table.

How It Works

The magician introduces a small packet of four cards with normal backs and blank faces. These cards have three magical jobs:

• Trapping: The deck is riffled, and the four blank cards are swiped through it. Astonishingly, a face-up Four of Clubs appears among them, which is placed on top of the deck.
• Collecting: The magician waves the packet over the deck three times, revealing the mates of the second selection—the Sevens of Hearts, Clubs, and Spades—reversed among the packet.
• Printing: The magician waves the packet over the face-up King of Clubs. When the packet is turned face-up, all cards are now the King of Clubs!
