What is the Couvert Peek?

The Couvert Peek (pronounced Coo-ver) is a brilliantly simple, deceptive, and entirely gimmick-free drawing duplication effect. Perfect for close-up and walk-around performances, it requires only a single card (business card or plain billet), a small envelope, and a pen. The magic happens when the spectator peeks at half of the inside of the folded card, setting the stage for a mind-blowing revelation.

How It Works

Spectators draw something on the inside of a folded card and initial a small envelope. The card is then placed inside the envelope by the performer, who astonishingly duplicates the spectator’s drawing directly onto the envelope itself. This envelope and card are then given to the spectator as a unique and memorable souvenir.
