Eugene Burger is, without question, one of the most fabulous magical thinkers or our time, yet many are unfamiliar with his large body of work. That’s a shame.
If you can start anywhere, start here. This is a comprehensive sampler, so to speak. We’re huge fans of “vintage” Burger, and these were all the VHS tapes he put out over a period of years, collected and expanded (you even get a beautiful companion book).
Because Burger is interested in Bizarre Magic (there is an example of that in this series), people forget what a fabulous layperson’s magician he is. Above all else, you must admire this about Eugene: he has EXCELLENT choice of material.
