The routine begins with three coins and a length of string, all of which can be freely examined by the audience. The performer threads the coins onto the string, and despite being securely placed, one coin magically ‘dances’ off the string and onto a spectator’s hand. The remaining two coins are clearly seen on the string, yet again, one coin falls off onto the first coin.

The performer holds the last coin at his extreme fingertips. The coin is unmistakably centered on the string, yet the performer visibly separates them. Astonishingly, he causes the string to visibly melt back onto the coin, and immediately has the spectator pull on the string to verify its presence. The coin melts through the string into the performer’s hand, but suddenly it’s gone, and the errant coin is finally found with the other two, in plain view.
