In 1977, Tony Andruzzi (Masklyn ye Mage) released The Negromicon of Masklyn ye Mage, a handmade book describing bizarre magick effects. Only about 300 copies of the Negromicon were made. This was Tony Andruzzi’s first book published as Masklyn ye Mage, followed by two other handmade books, The Grimoire of the Mages(1980) and The Legendary Scoll of Masklyn ye Mage(1983). The Negromicon of Masklyn ye Mage is handsomely bound in “reptile hide” and is a locked book, with a set of hasps in the book that allow the entire book, or merely the Arcanum section to be locked.
