“This trick fooled me; made me feel like a layman again!” – Doug Conn
“When Kyle showed me this, I was literally in awe. I don’t say this lightly, but this is the best impromptu bill effect I’ve ever seen!” – David Jonathan
“You know when you’re jamming with some magicians, and somebody pulls something out, and it makes you go **mind blown** , and then you throw everything that you were about to show away, or you shove it back in your pockets because you know it’s all downhill from there…well that’s what happened…I cannot recommend this effect highly enough!” – Ben Williams
“Impromptu bill routine that looks like a gimmick and CGI… yes please.” – Ryan Schlutz
“When Kyle first showed me the Hancock Effect, I literally told him not to show other people. I’m not even joking, i thought it was so good, I told him he shouldn’t share it with anyone else… But lucky for you, he didn’t listen!” – Josh Janousky
“This is a trick you will do! You borrow the bill, you borrow the pen. Nothing to add on, nothing to steal, there’s no gimmicks, there’s virtually no set up…if you can fold paper, you can do this…” – Ryan Bliss
When Kyle Purnell wants to make you question reality he borrows a dollar from you, has you sign it, and then moves your signature from one side to the other without gimmicks. Then he gives the bill back to you for you to not only examine, but keep as a souvenir for you to remember the time he turned your brain into putty in his hands. This is Kyle Purnell’s The Hancock Effect.
Here’s what happens:
A one-dollar bill is borrowed from a spectator. An arrow and a box are drawn at opposite ends of the bill. The fill is folded into quarters so the audience member can sign their name below the arrow. Then, with no funny moves, the magician visually removes the ink from the bill. Next, they crumple the bill and place it in the hands of the spectator. The magician tosses the ink back onto the bill in the spectator’s hands. They open it up and their signature that was definitely underneath the arrow is now on the other end of the bill inside a previously empty box.
This effect was a huge hit at Magifest with magicians dragging Kyle all over the convection to perform this miracle. There really are no gimmicks, and you really can borrow the bill from your spectator. In addition to The Hancock Effect, as a bonus, Kyle teaches you his gimmick-free impromptu pencil through bill effect Incredibill. This download is jam-packed with gimmick-free effects that end completely clean and taught in detail for both right-handed and left handed performers. There’s even an included PDF so that international performers can perform The Hancock Effect as well. A moving ink effect has never been this direct and this examinable. Blow away your spectators and then leave them with an impossible souvenir with The Hancock Effect.
