Description
Based on his well-known work, The Card Classics of Ken Krenzel by Harry Lorayne (and other works), you will be more than pleased with the excellence of the material he imparts, and properly instructs, on all three volumes of Card Classics.
With Gary Ouellet as host, you can sit back and enjoy the work of the master, as he carefully explains his ideas, moves and routines. Gary plays the part of the viewer, as he asks questions, has holds and moves repeated, asks the camera to come in closer or suggests that Ken should move a finger or change an angle so the grip or position is made quite clear. In this way, you are able to learn much more than would be evident in just the printed word.
CUTTING ACES demonstrates how effective Krenzel magic can be. With the spectator cutting the piles of cards, an Ace turns up on the top of each. There is no palming. A fine example of Ken Krenzel’s card work.
In spite of the weird title, CHOPSTICKS, two cards are inserted, as chopsticks, and trap a card between them. The card is noted, returned to the center, still clipped between the cards. Cards are squared, hands clapped and the chosen card is now on top of the deck.
INVISIBLE REVERSE will reach you how to secretly reverse one or several cards so they turn up in the middle of the deck.
You’ll like his NATURAL DOUBLE LIFT and his EERIE SPINOUT where a card spins out from hand-held cards.
THREE PLUS PLUS is a monte routine, complete with bent corner. You’ll love this.
There is a TUNNEL effect where two cards are inserted, sideways, into the deck. They are face down. But as they are pushed through the deck, one card reverses itself while the back of the other card changes color. This is GREAT!
The video concludes with THE HAUNTED PACK. An updated presentation of the well-known effect. In this presentation, the performer’s hand, holding the deck, is inserted in a clear plastic bag. It is securely fastened to his arm by a rubber band. The encased hand riffles the cards and the spectator sights a card. The cards are squared and rest on the performer’s palm. As he watches, the spectator sees the pack cut itself, as one half slowly moves toward the finger tips which raise the cut selection so the card at the cut can be seen. It is the chosen card. Certainly a change of pace.
This is just skimming the surface of the many things you’ll learn – the many do’s and don’ts…protecting bad angles, etc. on this and the other two volumes featuring Ken’s fantastic magic.
Material covered: Direct Spectator Aces, Chopsticks, Tabled Ambition, Invisible Reverse, Invisible Reverse Transfer, Square Reverse, The Natural Double Lift, Eerie Spinout, Three Plus Three (the final phase of this routine is not in print), Krenzel’s Favorite Tunnel, Haunted Pack
