Hand out a Half Dollar and a Penny for examination, explaining the different metals they are made of.
Place the Penny on top of the Half Dollar and, with a simple squeeze, watch as the Penny sinks into the Half Dollar, creating a single, fused coin.
Allow the audience to examine this new, impossible coin.
With a gentle shake, the Penny falls out, leaving both coins ordinary and examinable once again.

This routine is a favorite of Michael Rubinstein and is known for its strong impact and surprise ending. Additionally, the set includes some quick and clever routines by Meir Yedid, making it a versatile addition to any magician’s repertoire.

The basic routine features you handing two coins to your friends for examination (a Half Dollar and a Penny) as you explain the different metals they are made of.

You then place the Penny on top of the Half Dollar and after a little squeeze the penny sinks into the quarter and is fused inside. The odd new coin can then be examined.

You pick up the coin, give it a little shake and the penny falls out leaving everything examinable and ordinary.
