FAST MATH by Lars La Ville. (Instant Download)
Description & Effect
Unlock the secrets of mind-blowing mathematical magic with Lars La Ville's 'FAST MATH.' This comprehensive 90-minute masterclass goes beyond traditional magic squares, equipping you with unique, lightning-fast calculation methods to perform seemingly impossible feats. As lauded by magic expert Dan Harlan, who called the demonstrations 'very interesting' and 'fascinating work,' and Tomas Blomberg, who praised the introduction of a 'brand new plot,' 'FAST MATH' is poised to elevate your mentalism repertoire.
Mastering "Fast Math" Card Revelations
Dive into the core 'FAST MATH' effect, presented in both face-up and face-down variations. Imagine a spectator naming any number between 34 and 99. You then rapidly deal 16 cards into a 4x4 grid, only for every row, and even the center and corners, to instantly sum up to their chosen number! Lars La Ville shares his unique calculation method, allowing you to quickly determine the starting card. Choose from versions requiring a small amount of memorization or a completely memory-free approach, making this powerful effect accessible to all skill levels. The face-down variation, inspired by Dan Harlan, adds an extra layer of mystery as you reveal each row one by one.
Advanced Memory & Blindfolded Demonstrations
For those seeking a greater challenge, explore the 'PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY DEMONSTRATION SQUARE.' After a spectator shuffles and selects cards, you quickly memorize the positions of 16 numbers, then, while blindfolded, accurately state the sum of every row. This advanced effect offers two versions for a truly astonishing display of mental prowess. Further push the boundaries with the 'BLINDFOLDED SQUARE,' where a spectator names a target number (34-99), and you direct them to fill a 4x4 grid while blindfolded, only to reveal upon removal that all rows astonishingly add up to their chosen number.
Classic Magic Squares, Reimagined
Lars La Ville presents his take on the classic 'MAGIC SQUARE,' allowing spectators to name any number between 33 and 201. Inspired by Harry Lorayne but featuring La Ville's distinct counting system and a clever 'peek' idea, you'll learn to construct a perfect magic square on paper where all numbers are harmoniously balanced. This section also includes a memory-free option, ensuring everyone can perform this classic. For impromptu performances, the 'IMPROMPTU MAGIC SQUARE' utilizes just a Sharpie and a Post-it block, allowing you to create the same incredible effect on the fly, proving that true magic needs no elaborate setup. Discover the power of mathematical precision in your magic.

LA VILLE MAGIC PRESENTS FAST MATH BY LARS LA VILLE
Dan Harlan: "Very interesting demonstrations.Fascinating work."
Tomas Blomberg: "I loved that you introduced a brand new plot there with the memorization of the square that doesn't have the Magic Square property."
Effects:
FAST MATH - (Face up) Here is an old effect , with my handling with number cards. The spectator names a number from 34 to 99.You now place down 16 cards very fast on the table 4 x 4.All the rows now adds up to the number the spectator named.
Also the center and the corners adds up to the number. I use a different calculation method to fast figure out which card I should start with. One version requires you have to memorize a little, but there is also one version that requires no memory work at all.
FAST MATH - (Face down) This is the same effect as Fast Math (Face up), but here with an idea by Dan Harlan, to start with the cards face down. Here you turn the cards over one by one to show each row is addeing up to the number the spectator has named. Handling, setup and system by Lars La Ville.
PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY DEMONSTRATION SQUARE:
The next two effects, need some more extra memory work, and I guess they are not for everyone. I just wantet to share the ideas.
Here you let the spectator shuffle the cards and they are split into 2 piles. The spectator freely choose one pile. Now the magician place down fast the 16 cards, and say:" I will now try to memorize all the position of all the cards and see if I can add up each row when I´m blindfolded.First give me 15 seconds to memorize the numbers and positions of all of the numbers.” The magician now puts on a blindfold and can now say what every row adds up too. This version needs some memory work, so this is not for everybody. There are 2 versions of the Photographic Memory Demonstration Square.
BLINDFOLDED SQUARE: The magician put on a blindfold and the spectator now names any number from 34 to 99. The block of paper is marked with the letters A, B, C, D horizontal, and with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 vertical. You now tell the spectator were to write the numbers, Write 10 in D4, 16 in C2 etc., and after all 16 numbers is written down, you take off the blindfold, and show the spectator that all the squares adds up to there named number. This version is not easy.
MAGIC SQUARE:
This is the classic magic square you make on a piece of paper. This one is inspired from Harry Lorayne, but using my counting system to calculate fast , which number you should start with.I also added a peek idea, so you know which numbers you should use for the magic square. The spectator can name any number between 33 to 201. The good thing about this square is that there is not 4 numbers that are big, compared to the other numbers. It requires some memory work. There is also one version that don´t requires any memory work.
IMPROMPTU MAGIC SQUARE:
Here you just use a sharpie and a post-it block. The spectator names any number between 33 and 201.You know tell the spectator which numbers the spectator should write on each post-it notes. Then you pick them all up and place them fast under each other. Then all the rows will add up the number the spectator named.
