The Timeless Art of Liquid Magic, Reimagined

Delve into the profound history of magic with TCC's "Endless Cup," a breathtaking modern interpretation of the legendary Lota Bowl effect. For millennia, the seemingly endless production of water from an empty vessel has captivated audiences and mystified onlookers. Originating in ancient India around 3000 BC, the Lota Bowl was initially revered for its role in spiritual ceremonies, embodying miraculous phenomena before gradually evolving into one of magic's most iconic and cherished props. The Endless Cup brings this revered tradition into the 21st century, blending ancient wonder with contemporary design for today's discerning magician.

Everyday Form, Extraordinary Function

Forget the traditional, ornate Lota Bowl; the Endless Cup is ingeniously crafted to resemble an ordinary household ceramic cup or coffee mug. This unassuming appearance is its greatest asset, allowing for unparalleled deception and making every performance more impactful and relatable. Beneath its simple exterior lies a sophisticated mechanism capable of concealing nearly half a cup of liquid without a single drip. This innovative design ensures that water, or any other chosen liquid, flows effortlessly and precisely when you command it, giving you absolute control over your liquid miracles without the tell-tale signs of a magic prop.

Unleash Limitless Liquid Miracles

The versatility of the Endless Cup is truly boundless, opening up a realm of creative possibilities for your magical repertoire. Perform the classic self-filling cup routine, where water mysteriously appears from nowhere, or incorporate clever misdirection with small paper balls à la Rene Lavand. Imagine vanishing water from the cup only to have it reappear moments later, or astonishing volunteers by producing their chosen beverage from an apparently empty vessel. The Endless Cup can even facilitate the magical appearance of a live fish or the captivating transformation of water into juice. This prop isn't just an item; it's a gateway to countless engaging and impossible liquid effects, ensuring your audience is left speechless every time.

What is the oldest effect in Magic? Most magicians would say it is the cups and balls.

We also thought so, until we did some research on this particular product.

The oldest documented form of magic was in ancient India in 3000 BC and it was the effect we now know as the Lota Bowl.

It appears in a form of a jug or kettle made of clay. Water is poured from the jug until the jug is empty, then left aside for a while. When the jug is picked up again, water is then poured from the jug again. This is then repeated again and again... for at least a dozen times.

It is speculated that the original use of the Lota Bowl was not for magic or entertainment, but in ceremonies to seemingly perform miracles. However, over the course of thousands of years, it has gradually become one of the most common props used by magicians.

Once again, we have taken this ancient and classic effect and integrated it with modern style to bring you… The Endless Cup.

Endless Water, Endless possibilities.

The Endless Cup is shaped like an everyday household ceramic cup or coffee cup. It can conceal nearly half a cup of liquid without leaking, and have it flow into the cup whenever you need it to.
The routines you can perform with The Endless Cup include, but are not limited to:

  • The classic self-filling cup/water;
  • Incorporating three small paper balls ala Rene Lavand.
  • Water vanishing from the cup and appearing again in the cup after your performance;
  • The audience volunteers selected beverage appearing in the cup;
  • The appearance of water and fish;
  • Changing water to juice or other beverage.
