What the Audience Sees and Hears

The performer begins by bringing out a deck of cards and engaging the audience in a unique way. One person is asked to think of any card (excluding the Ace, to avoid common choices), while another is asked to think of a number between 1 and 48. As the performer pulls out the Aces, small packets of cards are handed to four different audience members, who are instructed to shuffle them thoroughly.

While the audience members are shuffling, the two individuals who thought of a card and a number are asked to reveal their choices for the first time. Once the shuffling is complete, the packets are collected back, and the performer instructs someone to deal the cards while counting them one by one until they reach the called-out number. Miraculously, the thought-of card appears exactly at the thought-of number.
