Karl Fulves’ legendary magazine Epilogue is a treasure trove of close-up magic, spanning 24 issues from 1967 to 1975. With permission from Karl Fulves, Aldo Colombini has meticulously selected ten packet trick routines that showcase some of the finest magic of that era. These routines are not just tricks; they are masterpieces that have stood the test of time.
Contents Highlights
- DEVIL’S ELEVATOR by Bruce Cervon & Dai Vernon: A classic routine that will quickly become one of your favorites.
- TRANSPOSE & FOLLOW by Gerald Kosky: A beautiful combination of two effects using Aces and Kings.
- ALA ELMSLEY by Larry Jennings: Larry’s take on the famous “Four-card trick” by Alex Elmsley.
- ROYAL BLUE by Karl Fulves: A visually stunning routine where red-backed cards transform into blue-backed Aces.
- ALL FOR ONE by Bruce Cervon: Witness three cards transform from 9C to 3D and finally to QS.
- BACK FLIP by Sam Schwartz: An eye-popping routine with impossible color changes.
- SWINDLE MATES by Herb Zarrow: A spectator shuffles a packet, which magically matches cards left on the table.
- UP-UP & AWAY by J.K. Hartman: An elevator routine with a surprising climax.
- THREE DIFFERENT WAYS by Paul Swinford: A card changes place with the Ace of the same suit.
- DOWN AND UNDER by Roy Walton: A spectator finds two mates with the cards in their own hands.
Each routine in this collection is a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of the magicians of the time. Whether you are a seasoned magician or just starting out, these tricks will add a touch of classic elegance to your performance.
Karl Fulves’ legendary magazine Epilogue was limited to 24 issues, from 1967 to 1975, during those years some of the finest close-up magic of the period was explained in its pages. From the magazines, with permission by Karl, Aldo has selected ten packet trick routines.
CONTENTS:
DEVIL’S ELEVATOR (Bruce Cervon & Dai Vernon): One of the finest routine for this classic theme. One of my all-time favorites (and soon to be one of yours).
TRANSPOSE & FOLLOW (Gerald Kosky): Two effects combined in a beautiful routine using the Aces and the Kings.
ALA ELMSLEY (Larry Jennings): The Larry’s version of the famous “Four-card trick” by Alex Elmsley.
ROYAL BLUE (Karl Fulves): A packet of red-backed cards is shown front and back. One after the other the four Aces appear and at the end they are shown to have blue backs.
ALL FOR ONE (Bruce Cervon): Three cards are seen to be all 9C, then all 3D and finally all QS.
BACK FLIP (Sam Schwartz): This is an eye-popping routine and the repeat color change looks impossible. Four blue-backed Kings turn face up one at a time, the backs of the cards change from blue to red and then from red to green.
SWINDLE MATES (Herb Zarrow): A packet is shuffled by a spectator and matches the cards in another packet left always on the table.
UP-UP & AWAY (J.K. Hartman): Another great elevator kind of routine with a surprising climax.
THREE DIFFERENT WAYS (Paul Swinford): A card changes place with the Ace of the same suit.
DOWN AND UNDER (Roy Walton): A spectator finds two mates. The trick is automatic and it is done with the cards in the spectator’s hands.
